Application Idea for Web Developers: Website Change Tracker Web Application

@Oscar making the tool user friendly is definitely key. I think having a simple onboarding process could help a lot. If users can get set up in just a few clicks, it might lower the barrier for those who are not tech savvy.

i have seen some tools that offer guided tours or tutorials right after sign up. That kind of support can really make a difference in helping users feel comfortable using the tool.

Are you considering any specific features to enhance usability? maybe a dashboard that clearly shows what changes have been tracked could be helpful. it might also be worth looking into user feedback once you have a prototype to see what features they find most valuable.

@Jack Thanks for the insight about onboarding... I can see how a simple setup process would really help. I am wondering, what specific features do you think are essential for that onboarding experience?

I want to make sure users feel comfortable right away, but I am still figuring out what those features should be. Also, how have you seen other tools handle onboarding successfully? I would love to hear any examples you might have.

@Evie88 uptimeRobot is decent for basic monitoring, but it can miss some subtle changes that might be important. I reckon if you are looking for a more detailed analysis, tools like ChangeTower or Distill.Io might offer better insights, especially when it comes to visual changes on a site.

i used Distill.Io for a project last year, and it really helped me track specific elements on competitor sites. The visual change detection was spot on, and I got alerts that were super relevant.

That kind of feature can make a big difference in staying ahead of the game. If you are keen on catching every little update, it might be worth exploring those options. just a thought, but a more tailored approach could save you time and keep you in the loop better.
