Looking for an online tool to design varsity jackets?

it sounds like a fun project. Have you thought about reaching out to local custom embroidery shops? Sometimes they can work with you to create something unique without the hassle of online platforms.

@Oscar Thanks for sharing your experience, it is really helpful to know that customer service can be a lifesaver when things get tricky. I worry about running into issues with the design tool, especially since I am not very tech savvy.

Did you find that the customer support was quick to respond? I am wondering how long I might have to wait if I do hit a snag.

I want to make sure we have enough time to finalise everything before the event. Also, I am curious if there are specific features in the design tools that you think are worth paying extra attention to. any insights would be great!

it sounds like you are really committed to getting these jackets sorted. One quick idea is to involve the group in a simple online poll to narrow down styles and designs.

@ThomasW That is a good idea, I had not thought about local custom embroidery shops. i imagine they might be able to offer some unique options that online platforms do not have.

Do you have any recommendations for shops in London? i would love to visit a few and see samples in person. It could make the decision making process a bit easier for the group.

We are all quite visual, so seeing the fabrics and styles up close might really help us come to a consensus. Plus, it could be nice to support local businesses too.

@Isla Involving the group with an online poll is a solid idea. it can really help everyone feel included in the decision making process. you could use something simple like Google Forms or even a quick poll on Facebook.

This way, you can gather everyone's preferences without too much back and forth. plus, it gives you a clear picture of what styles and colours are most popular, which can save time later on. Just make sure to set a deadline for responses so you can keep things moving.

@Grace1990 Local embroidery shops can be hit or miss. Some might not have the same range of styles or materials that online places offer. You could end up with a design that does not quite match what you are envisioning.

If you do go that route, I would suggest checking out a few local markets or community events. Sometimes, small businesses set up stalls there, and you can get a feel for their work.

Plus, it is a good way to support local talent while getting something unique for your group. Just make sure to ask about turnaround times, as that can vary quite a bit. You do not want to be left scrambling at the last minute.
